Garden City Friends of Music (GCFoM) advocates, promotes, and supports music education for all Garden City students.
We aim to:
- Advocate for music education in the school district
- Support inclusive music education programs at all levels by raising revenue to provide state-of-the-art music programs
- Provide financial assistance to families to rent instruments, and to fund school-sponsored musical events and field trips
- Purchase musical instruments and other equipment for student use
- Promote opportunities for our students’ to share their musical talents with the Garden City community
- Provide monetary scholarships to graduating seniors who plan to pursue music studies
- Provide awards to deserving students in vocal, string, band, and electronic music categories in every Garden City school
